Trauma and PTSD therapy helps individuals process overwhelming or distressing experiences that continue to affect emotional wellbeing, relationships, or daily life. Trauma can result from single events or long-term experiences and may show up as anxiety, emotional numbness, hypervigilance, flashbacks, or difficulty feeling safe.
Trauma refers to the impact of challenging or overwhelming experiences on the nervous system, while PTSD is a specific diagnosis with defined symptoms. You don’t need a PTSD diagnosis to benefit from trauma therapy. Many people seek support for developmental trauma, relational trauma, or chronic stress that hasn’t fully resolved.
